HOW DOES OBSA FACILITATE NETWORKING AND CONNECTIVITY FOR ONLINE BUSINESS STUDENTS?

Through our dedicated online platform, we offer a comprehensive range of academic, networking, and social resources, including meetings. Our mission is to ensure that each online W. P. Carey student experiences a strong sense of connection, feels valued, and is well-prepared for success upon graduating from ASU.

WHAT KIND OF ACTIVITIES DOES OBSA ENGAGE IN, AND WHAT BENEFITS COME WITH BECOMING A MEMBER?

We host three distinct event categories. Firstly, we conduct insightful interviews with seasoned business professionals, offering valuable insights into their industries and companies. These speakers share a mutual commitment to support OBSA members and encourage you to connect with them on LinkedIn. They serve as exceptional resources, readily available to address queries and provide guidance. Seize this opportunity to enrich your network and gather invaluable advice.

Secondly, we organize engaging workshops that provide opportunities to acquire new skills. These workshops cover a wide range of topics, from enhancing speed reading to mastering networking techniques and optimizing your LinkedIn profile. Our diverse workshops empower you with practical knowledge to excel in various aspects of your academic and professional journey.

Thirdly, we also offer a biweekly "Brew and Banter" session, creating an informal space for online business students to gather on Zoom. These sessions serve as a platform for mingling, mutual assistance, and fostering connections among our members. It's an excellent opportunity to share experiences, exchange insights, and build lasting relationships. Join us for these engaging sessions to further enhance your OBSA experience and broaden your network within the online business community.
